Dr. Ryan Wood brings more than a decade of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal and athletic injuries. He is board certified by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine and specializes in regenerative orthopedics. He is also board certified in musculoskeletal medicine by the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
At Oregon Regenerative Medicine, Dr. Wood provides an integrated, holistic approach to the treatment of musculoskeletal disease and sports medicine injuries. He has extensive experience in regenerative injection procedures, including prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma, and adult adipose-derived stem cell therapies. He provides expert management and treatment of sports-related injuries, degenerative joint diseases, complex spinal conditions including disk derangement, degenerative disc disease, spondylosis of the spine, and concussion and traumatic brain injuries.
Dr. Wood employs dietary, hormonal, and nutritional medical therapies and builds the core strength of his patients through specific exercise modifications, physical rehabilitation, as well as primary care and internal medicine.
Dr. Wood earned his Bachelor’s in Human Physiology from Michigan State University, and his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences, Lombard Illinois. He received his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He completed the Internal Medicine and Orthopedics Integrated Medicine Clerkship at Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, where he attended rotations in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Orthopedic and Orthopedic Surgery. He practiced these skills in a private practice clinic in Livingston, Montana for 8 years until moving to Oregon to broaden his education at the National University of Natural Medicine. There, he focused on acquiring skills in regenerative orthopedics and men’s health, which led him to study under Dr. Noel Peterson, one of the leading pioneers in the field. In May 2015, Dr. Wood joined the team here at Oregon Regenerative Medicine, adding his experience and expertise in orthopedic medicine to the care of our patients.

Hobbies and Activities:
Dr. Wood is a proud father. His daughter Tamsyn Marie, was born in December of 2014. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves to camp and explore Oregon with Tamsyn and their chocolate lab Winston.
After 35 years he continues to play ice hockey weekly and considers ice skates his primary form of transportation. He vacations anywhere there is a place to fly-fish or SCUBA dive and loves to ski, hike, and canoe, and the modification and restoration of classic motorcycles and cars.
